Olga Ravn is a Copenhagen based writer, editor, translator and teacher. She made her literary debut in 2012 with the collection of poetry 'Jeg æder mig selv som lyng' (Eating myself like heather, Gyldendal). The book, which is now in its 5th print-run, was awarded by the Danish Arts Foundation. The book was translated into Swedish in 2013 to great reviews and is sold for publication in Norway and Sweden.

In 2014 she published the chapbook 'Mean Girl', the first edition sold out in an hour, in 2015 a revised version of this book was published in Norwegian by Flamme Forlag.

Her debut novel, 'Celestine' (Gyldendal), came out in 2015 and was awarded the prestigious Michael Strunge Prize. The book, centering around ghost stories, a boarding school, blended families and divorce, was described by the prize committee as bearing resemblance to ’the hauntings of Ibsen’s plays, and the Gothic passions of the Brönte-sisters.”

The Norwegian literary critic Susanne Christensen had this to say about the novel:  ”[it is] full body-literature, neither timeless or without an I, but swelling with metaphor like Kim Kardashian’s ass. In therms of style it is close to a sort of neo-psychedelic HBO-maximalism, a non-stop-show of cheese, glitter, GIF-files and lol cats (…) Ravn is the Mighty Mouse of her generation.”
The novel is sold for publication in Norway and Sweden.

Olga Ravn, born in 1986, is a graduate from the Danish Writer's School. From 2010-2014 she distinguished herself as literary critic and columnist in newspapers Information, Politiken and Norway's Klassekampen. She also runs a popular blog in her own name.

Olga Ravn has translated Swedish poet Ann Jäderlund and American novelist Miranda July into Danish. In 2016 a translation of Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar by Olga Ravn and Mette Moestrup will be published. Her edition of forgotten nonfiction by Danish writer Tove Ditlevsen, 'Jeg ville være enke, og jeg ville være digter' (I wanted to be a widow, and I wanted to be a poet', Gyldendal) was published in 2015.
